Position Summary and Scope of Service

The Process Development Specialist plays a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations by identifying, analyzing, designing, and implementing streamlined processes and workflows. This position collaborates closely with HR team members to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and drive change initiatives to support our strategic objectives. In addition, the Process Development Specialist has a critical role in developing and /or revising policies and processes through an anti-oppression perspective.

Qualifications

Educational:


• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (CPHR).

• Proven experience in process improvement, within a Human Resources or related function.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools (i.e. Visio)

• Knowledge of HRIS systems and experience with process automation.

• Certification in Lean Six Sigma and experience in process mapping (systems thinker)

• Extensive knowledge of HR departments and their functional areas.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include:


•​Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments of existing HR processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

•Analyzing current processes, identifying root causes, develop innovative solutions, and drive process improvements.

• Analyze data, conducting process audits, and leading cross-functional teams to solve complex issues and optimize workflows.

• Implement Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline operations and increase efficiencies.

• Develop detailed process maps. Workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOP's) to document current processes and proposed enhancements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and design solutions that align with business goals and objectives.

• Lead process improvement projects from inception to implementation, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

• Work closely with HR leadership to prioritize improvement opportunities and develop action plans to address identified gaps.

• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate HR employees on new processes and procedures, ensuring successful adoption and compliance.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPI's).

Working Conditions:
