Department Overview

  • The TD Equipment Finance team is a Centre of Excellence within Business Banking. Our mandate is to structure equipment financing (leases and loans) for business clients and prospects as an alternative to other conventional bank sources of financing such as term loans.
  • Reporting to the Manager, TD Equipment Finance (TDEF), this position is responsible for managing documentation for new originations. Assigned to one or more Account Executives the role supports the sales team throughout new originations.
  • Functions include preparation of documentation of equipment financing transactions, coordination of transactions with Account Executives and Account Managers, obtain all necessary documentation & requirements for audit up to disbursement/funding of transaction.
  • Register/assess transactions for PMSI/RDPRM priority and, as required, review searches and obtain waivers.
  • Acquire/compile documentation and information as required to meet AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customers) guidelines
  • Assist in identifying viable solutions to complete the transactions successfully.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction and collaborate with various projects to improve the customer experience overall.
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with internal fulfillment partners in order to maximize efficiency and customer service.
  • Actively refer to other business partners both within Business Banking and across TDBFG and respond effectively to reciprocal referrals.
  • Actively participate in the performance management process including performance reviews, feedback and coaching sessions as well as performance and development discussions.
  • Embrace and promote a positive and colllaborative environment that supports a diverse workplace.

Job Requirements

  • Business experience in the financial industry is an asset
  • College or University graduate Required
  • Oral and written communications skills are essential
  • Resourceful, strong organizational skills and work successfully with mínimal supervision in a fast paced, high volume, deadline driven environment.
  • Must possess the ability to multitask
  • Will work closely in a team environment in order to meet individual and team driven benchmarks.
  • Conscientious, resourceful and detail oriented in order to mitigate any risk to the bank.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to be proactive in their approach to problem resolution.
  • Solid Knowledge of Microsoft Office required
  • Bilingual in English and French (written / oral)
