POSITION OVERVIEW- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze market trends, socioeconomic data, and demographic information to assist in identifying potential locations for retail stores.


  • Conduct feasibility studies and site evaluations to determinate viability and suitability of potential store locations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Sales, HR, Finance and Wholesale to develop comprehensive business strategies to ensure successful store openings (i.e. securing of staff).
  • Utilize GIS software and other mapping tools to visualize data and generate reports for decisionmaking purposes.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities in the retail landscape.
  • Support the further development of site selection criteria and scoring models to prioritize potential locations based on strategic objectives.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and business cases to evaluate the estimated profitability of potential store openings.
  • Monitor industry trends and stay abreast of market developments to assist in providing recommendations for optimizing store networks.
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Take on adhoc responsibilities and assist with other areas of real estate operations, such as leasing activities, project management tasks, and property portfolio management as needed. This may include supporting lease negotiations, coordinating with external vendors and contractors, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Real Estate Team.

  • Position Requirements
    Education:
  • University/College Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Geography or a related field.

Previous Experience

  • 35 years' of experience in mapping and data analysis, preferably in a real estate or retail setting.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in GIS Software and mapping tools like ArcGIS, Easy Territory and Maptitude, as well as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clear and concisely
  • Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
  • Quick learner and flexible with the ability to adapt to change
  • Understanding real estate principles and market dynamics is highly desirable
