How will you contribute?:

We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated professional to support our Client Service Centre (CSC) servicing all Senators, Senate employees and Canadians


Using your proven client service skills, you will be responsible for responding to general enquiries from the public related to the Senate.

You will also work on special projects, reports and a variety of administrative services related to client services.

Open to:

The general public to staff two (2) permanent full-time position in the Property and Services Directorate of the Senate.

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

Prerequisites:

  • Successful completion of a secondary school education or an acceptable combination of related education and experience;
  • A minimum of two (2) year of experience providing customer services to a diversified clientele in person, over the phone and virtually;
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a call centre or customer service environment;
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in data entry into an electronic database;
  • Excellent computer skills and experience using MS Office products;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with senators, Senate employees and others;
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple files in a fastpaced environment;
  • Ability to clearly identify issues, assess information and explain complex topics in plain language in both official languages;
  • Experience preparing reports and statistics is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of or experience working with parliamentary institutions is considered an asset.
