Developmental Service Worker

Duties:

  • Provide direct support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and independence
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, nurses, and therapists to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are respected at all times
  • Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress and any incidents or observations

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Ability to lift and assist residents with mobility needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Note:
This position may involve working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
