What do Pre-Board Screening Officers do?
You will be using your exceptional customer service skills to uphold the safety of passengers and create a positive travel experience by:

  • Efficiently screening passengers and baggage through airport security checkpoints
  • Confirming valid boarding passes
  • Scanning and testing baggage for prohibited items using Xray machines, metal detectors, other technology, along with physical search techniques
  • Protecting restricted areas
  • Managing conflict
  • Communicating clearly and effectively
  • Upholding all regulations with vigilance

What You Bring:

  • Excellent customer service skills, preferably in a highvolume environment for a minimum of one (1) year
  • Open availability to work any shift as required by the airport operations, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal; fluency in French is an asset
  • Ability to comply with the CATSA medical requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Current resident of Victoria, or the surrounding area
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
You may be required to travel within the province for the initial training. Travel, accommodation, and an allowance will be provided.
