POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for Apprentice Pipefitters to join our team. Our Apprentice Pipefitters are responsible for laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems and related equipment for various systems. It's important for our employees to prioritize safety, uphold Strike's Code of Conduct and Values, and treat others with respect.
ABOUT THE COMPANY

PROJECT/POSITION DETAILS- Must be local to the Edson area
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Assist journeyperson pipefitters with equipment installation
- Assemble piping and valves
- Prepare pipe and fittings for installation
- Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools
- Measure, cut, and thread pipe
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
- Remove and replace worn components
- Local apprentices to Edson and surrounding area preferred
- Registered with the appropriate apprenticeship board
- Previous experience in the oilfield industry
- Previous construction experience
- H2S Alive, WHIMIS, CSTS, and Standard First Aid certifications
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Capable of working with small tools
- Effective team player
- Proficient in English
- Ability to follow instructions
- Previous experience with operating equipment is an asset
- Additional certifications like fall protection, gas monitor training, and confined space considered beneficial
