Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Pipefitter to join our team at Strike Group. As an Apprentice Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assisting experienced pipefitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipe systems and related equipment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of pipe systems
- Assisting experienced pipefitters with equipment installation, assembly, and testing
- Preparing pipe and fittings for installation, including measuring, cutting, and threading
- Hydrotesting, assembling, and installing pipe spools
- Removing and replacing worn components to ensure optimal system performance
Requirements
- Local apprenticeship board registration
- Previous experience in the oilfield industry or construction
- H2S Alive, WHIMIS, CSTS, and Standard First Aid certifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
