Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Pipefitter to join our team at Strike Group. As an Apprentice Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assisting experienced pipefitters in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipe systems and related equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and safety-conscious individual to develop their skills and knowledge in the oil and gas industry. You will work closely with our experienced team to ensure the safe and efficient installation of pipe systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced pipefitters with the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipe systems and related equipment
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe
  • Assemble piping and valves
  • Prepare pipe and fittings for installation
  • Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
  • Remove and replace worn components

Requirements

  • Local apprentices to the area preferred
  • Registered with the appropriate apprenticeship board
  • Previous experience in the oilfield industry or construction
  • H2S Alive, WHIMIS, CSTS, and Standard First Aid certifications
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with operating equipment
  • Additional certifications like fall protection, gas monitor training, and confined space
