Job Description

The Sales Communications Compliance Officer will report directly to the Senior Compliance Officer and will be responsible for the supervision and approval of all Advisor and Head Office advertising, sales communications, and co-op marketing ventures. The role involves vital compliance duties to ensure the reviewed material complies with policies, procedures, regulations, and laws set by regulatory bodies. Additionally, the Officer plays a crucial role in a team specializing in Advisor advertising and sales communication.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for reviewing, supervising, and approving all advertising, sales communications, and co-op marketing requests for Advisors and Head Office, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Create a well-documented audit trail of the supervision process to demonstrate compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Detect and report any concerns regarding Advisors' marketing activities that could pose risks and impact brand integrity.
  • Administer social media compliance tools, review Advisors' social media profiles and content, and conduct ongoing supervision.
  • Review and approve all Advisors' website material, maintaining accurate compliance records.
  • Provide compliance direction and support to Advisors, assist in developing corporate guidelines, and stay updated on industry rule changes.
  • Participate in team activities and maintain consistency in the supervision process.
  • Assist in responses to investigations, audits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Perform other assigned duties by the Manager.

Proficiencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree/College Diploma
  • Minimum two years of experience in the financial industry preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of financial services regulations
  • Strong technology skills
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Adaptable to changing needs
  • Proficient in PC applications and systems
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic work environment
  • Bilingualism (English & French) an asset

Salary & Benefits

Annual base salary for the role is detailed below. Position based in Toronto, Ontario. Salary range: $60,000.00 CAD - $100,000.00 CAD. Additional benefits and incentive programs available.
