Covering over 2 million square feet, the MTCC is Canada's largest convention facility, boasting seven exhibit halls, two large capacity ballrooms, and a beautiful 1,232 seat theatre among its many assets. It also houses 70 fully furnished meeting rooms, and 167,000 square feet of beautifully decorated prefunction spaces.

The Food & Beverage Administrator is an exciting and engaging role is best suited to a well organized, outgoing, welcoming and collaborative individual who is ready to expand their knowledge and skill set within a high volume food & beverage operation.
- Manage scheduling of appointments and meetings, prioritizing as required to ensure there are no conflicts
- Prepare a variety of documents and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe
- Prepare weekly, monthly and when required multiple reporting requirements
- Coordinate and assist with the quarterly F&B department reporting
- Generate employee attendance reports using Workforce
- Coordinate special projects as needed
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, multimedia presentations and any required documentation
- Record and distribute meeting minutes
- Take active role in team building/department initiatives
- Contribute to fostering a positive, friendly and collaborative work environment
- Ensure clarity in all communications with stakeholders, both internal and external.
Job Skills and Requirements
Education:
Hospitality Management Certificate or a Degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience
Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills are essential. Familiarity with other catering/event management software helpful
- Detail oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills
- Numeracy and financial competence required
- Knowledge of event management computer systems would be an asset
