Antoine Laoun Optician is a multidisciplinary team of vision care professionals (optometrists, opticians, and eyewear stylists), with an avant-garde mindset, offering personalized vision care services and carefully selected quality products: glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, and renowned independent brands.

GENERAL FUNCTION

The licensed optician presents the brand's value proposition and contributes to making Antoine Laoun the top destination for all visual needs within the community. Creates exceptional value in customers' lives by providing legendary customer service and high-quality, perfectly designed glasses that exceed customer expectations.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome all customers warmly, use names, and set expectations, show promptness in serving customers and meeting their needs.
  • Custom glasses and precise prescription placement in lenses
  • Acts as a leader in optical sense, giving a voice to associates
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit glasses with attention to detail, ensure finished glasses meet customer standards and needs.
  • Explore customer needs and priorities by asking open-ended questions
  • Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions
  • Precise and thorough use of all technologies despite time pressure and customer volume, exceptional product knowledge, ability to accurately describe features and benefits of various lenses and frames using appropriate tools, reinforce final customer selection.
  • Proactive, explore root causes of customer issues, forward-thinking, ensure customer satisfaction and exceeded expectations, solution-oriented, partner with management if needed.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities
  • Strive for outstanding results on KPIs and brand skills.
  • Take pride in store appearance, help keep the store clean, attractive, and organized
  • Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices
  • Resourceful, motivated with a desire for learning, improvement, and continuous results
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • State license
  • Optical distribution experience
  • Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, team builder
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise
  • Solid basic math skills
  • Awareness of current fashion trends
  • Sales skills - ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
  • Familiarity with point of sale, computers, and calculators
  • Embrace new technologies and change

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in customer service and retail sales
