The Opportunity

Reporting to the Safety East Manager, the Industrial Hygiene Technician will contribute to the execution of the Industrial Hygiene Program, enhancing it through data management support. This role involves expertise in data analytics, exposure monitoring, document maintenance, and enhancing awareness of industry best practices.

What you'll do

  • Support Industrial Hygiene programs, procedures, and compliance training
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments
  • Analyze and interpret data sets using statistical tools and prepare sampling reports
  • Create data tools to manage exposure data
  • Assist in the chemical management program
  • Maintain the hazardous substance inventory program
  • Coordinate Safety teams for industrial hygiene monitoring
  • Analyze industrial hygiene incident reports and job hazard analyses
  • Prepare trending and analysis reports

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a health or natural science-related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years of experience
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene and various hazards
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerBI, and Power Automate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Familiarity with legislative requirements related to industrial hygiene
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficient in producing technical reports and oral presentations
  • Bilingualism (French, English) desirable

This position involves travel within Canada, maintaining a valid driver's license, and providing occasional emergency response support. Driving is deemed essential for this role. TC Energy provides a hybrid work model and flexible dress code for eligible office-based employees in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
