THE COMPANY
Our client, a very well-established and reputable home builder in Calgary is seeking an additional Intermediate or Senior Residential Architectural Technician to join their dedicated team. This company is known for their commitment to excellence in custom design and home building.

THE ROLE
The responsibilities of this role include:Work with clients to develop and prepare designs and working drawing packages, custom design, prepare details Applying for, monitoring and processing architectural approvals and building permitsComplete full set of drawings, architectural site plan, elevations, foundations, floor plan, sections and detailsAdjusting grades as per the provided plot plan, making sure everything works properly Submitting for Architectural Approval and making any necessary changes that may arise upon that review,Understand client requirements and prepare conceptual plans & designs for their approvalAssist project managers and projects teams with pre-qualification & tender submission packagesCoordinate drawings with all consultantsEnsure drawing files & folders are kept up-to-date and organized for easy retrieval.Taking care of lot inspections as required for architectural approvalsProvide ongoing suggestions for improvement, coinciding with continual learning and industry knowledgeWork collaboratively with teams and subconsultants ​WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDEducational background in Drafting or Architectural TechnologyMinimum 4+ years of experience in the residential construction industryExperienced using Revit and AutoCADProficiency in Microsoft Office programsOngoing learning of overall industry, including building materials, construction methods & standardsKnowledge of building code an assetWHAT YOU GET IN RETURN
