Role and objectives:

Kalesnikoff has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager.

The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible to oversee, support, and lead field teams in planning, and implementing product quality assurance activities in compliance with applicable company standards and programs.

The Manager, Quality Assurance must have excellent understanding of regulations and agency requirements for mass timber product manufacturing.

They strive to meet the highest quality objectives, by building programs, documentation, tracking and reporting on KPIs, and training employees with a focus on continuous improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop/approve inhouse training specific to products grades and standards.
  • Act as liaison with customers, regulatory agencies and/or internal departments on qualityrelated matters as required.
  • Ensure that Company quality standards are effectively implemented.
  • Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented on a timely basis in cases of noncompliance.
  • Assist onsite project personnel involved in quality assurance work, including technical advice. supporting resolution of problem areas and/or questions.
  • Provide review of inhouse and 3rd party detailing entities' work product for conformance to project documents, adherence to principals of timber engineering, constructability issues, assuring details are made to avoid water damage in field, aesthetic quality, etc.
  • Develop lessons learned for each project, lead After Action Review meetings, present on lessons learned from each project.
  • Final approval/engagement for projectspecific Quality Control Plans.
  • Lead/manage QA techs.
  • Lead/manage day to day QA tasks throughout manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to improve product quality and production efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with design team to ensure product is manufactured and fabricated as designed.
  • Collaborate with Project Management team to ensure product is delivered to customers expectations, strength/aesthetics/value add/etc.
  • Continuous improvement of current manufacturing procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architectural, or other related field and 5 years related work experience; or combination of training and related work experience totaling 10 years.
  • Minimum 3 years of mass timber industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control inspections, or equivalent.
  • Thorough working knowledge of regulatory agency quality assurance/control activities.
  • Revit experience or equivalent onthejob training.
  • Proven ability to supervise personnel.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Have (obtain within 1 year) NAVFAC/USACE, FHA/ADA, and a minimum of 2 ICC specific scope certifications in Building Inspection.
  • OSHPD, DSA, and/or PE licenses preferred.
  • Receptive to change can adapt to changing circumstances.
