Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for our new Residents' experience from the time they decide Cherish will be their new home until they are comfortable in their cozy suite, and will thereafter support the team in creating Cherish Living.
  • Will get to know and listen to our residents individually helping the Leisure Coordinator create opportunities for them to contribute to our community, a true community where people know and care for each other.
  • Manages most communication with Residents and coordinates our Homemaking division. This includes contract administration, coordinating with the bookkeeper, coordinating moveins and outs with Residents, their families, and the Cherish Team, and personally ensuring the new Resident is comfortable and knowledgeable with Cherish services and venues.
  • Coordinates suite turnovers, working with outside contractors and internal Maintenance to ensure completion in a timely manner.
  • Participates in trade shows, community marketing, and programs in the Langford area keeps sales activity records and files and participates in Cherish events which may include assisting with food service or entertainment, maintaining marketing supplies, and providing coverage on the reception desk over lunch hours including pendant calls. A sense of humor with the ability to make people laugh, a high level of positive energy, patience, and a big heart are essential.
  • In addition to being kind and caring, we need someone that is organized and professional in conduct and appearance to ensure the work done and presentation garners the trust of our customers and team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with seniors.
  • Experience in Property Management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Written and verbal communication skills: can format a letter, ensure the spelling and grammar is accurate and any technical information correct.
  • Emotionally mature and intuitive with respect to the needs of others.
  • Learns quickly.
  • Team player, helpful, and willing.
  • Able to follow policy and provide guidance on services offered and their cost.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to assist other departments as needed.
  • Reliable vehicle and clean driver abstract.
  • Strong Sales background.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Training with Eden Associates
  • A musical talent would be beneficial.
  • Helping change seasonal decor, set up for, and participate in events.

  • Weekend availability.
  • The hours of work, generally, are Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with an hour lunch, however, there is some flexibility, as the work hours will vary depending on the events we host. A criminal record check for vulnerable sectors is required.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree (preferred).

Experience:
Sales: 3 years (preferred).

Language:
English (required).
