Are you efficient and detail oriented? Effectively handle administrative tasks so our department runs smoothly and we can provide patients with the best care.
What you'll do
- Schedule patient appointments and books followup appointments into database. Input, sort, retrieve and maintain database of patient information.
- Performs reception duties including receiving and directing patients, answering, screening and redirecting phone calls, taking messages including calls from pharmacies for refill prescriptions and verification.
- Draft documents such as letters and agendas.
- Arrange meetings, book meeting rooms. Maintain calendars, records, transcribe and distributes minutes.
- Send, receive, sort, and distribute all incoming mail, faxes, reports and documents and processes outgoing mail. Arranges for courier service as needed.
- Maintain office/medical supply inventory by processing requisitions' for stationary and medical supplies.
- Prepare and submit expense claims by ensuring invoices are coded to correct cost centre and authorized for payment. Maintain a bringforward system for all billings/invoices. Submit check requisitions for reimbursements and expenditures to PHSA finance.
- Input/extract information from database to establish, maintain and store financial data.
What you bring
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 and two year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act
- Keyboard at least 45 wpm.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Organize work
- Deal with others effectively
- Operate related equipment.
