Position: Risk Appetite Consultant

Location: Toronto, CAN (hybrid 1-2 days/week in office)

Duration: 6-9-months contract (possible extensions, possible hire)

Shift: 8:30a-5pm CST (flexible)

Start Date: ASAP

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of risk appetite management experience within an enterprise function at a bank.
  • Strong understanding of metrics and reporting.
  • Proven experience creating and negotiating KRI/KPI metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface cross-functionally.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables).

Insight Global is seeking a temporary Risk Appetite Consultant to support an established banking client out of Toronto, Canada. This individual will be responsible for understanding, re-negotiating and creating new metrics and KPIs/KRIs for the enterprise risk function of the bank.

Day to Day:

  • Support gap analysis between risk appetite frameworks.
  • Support planning for integration of risk appetite metrics, thresholds, and reporting.
  • Work with risk counterparts to consolidate metrics and thresholds.
  • Liaise with operating groups and other IMO work streams on key dependencies to ensure alignment in risk appetite approach and refresh of supporting dashboards beyond Enterprise and US (includes OGs and T&O).
  • Coordinate the schedule and oversight of RAS refreshes to align with the Enterprise approach.
  • Identify potential gaps against heightened standards and work with work stream to apply remediation plans or mitigating actions.

Compensation:

$65/hr to $90/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
