Senior Consultant, Risk Appetite Reporting

We're seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Consultant, Risk Appetite Reporting. As a key member of our Risk Management group, you will play a critical role in monitoring and measuring performance against our Risk Appetite Statements (RASs) and associated processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Risk groups and stakeholders to manage RAS reporting processes to senior management and board-level committees.
  • Foster strong relationships with Risk Management, SBUs, and other functional groups to support our capability to effectively review and challenge proposals during the annual refresh of our RASs.
  • Manage the monitoring of monthly and quarterly reporting of performance against risk appetite metrics and ensure proper controls and governance around the reporting process.
  • Effectively communicate technical, analytical, conceptual, and strategic information and ideas to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services, preferably in Risk Management, with a university degree in a related field.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of internal systems and Bloomberg is an asset.
  • A master's degree in a related field, with experience in working with macroeconomic data and reading bank financials, is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a focus on teamwork and delivering results.
