HR Payroll Coordinator

Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary


Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Payroll Coordinator provides administrative transactional support including recruitment & selection, training & development, health & safety, leaves management, and human resource information system data entry, as well as being accountable for the successful processing and all associated payroll duties for the biweekly payrolls for Radiant Care.

The HR Payroll Coordinator supports the organization's Senior Management team by maintaining Human Resource and Payroll records, measuring metrics, and producing relevant reports.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Education
  • Completion of Human Resources Certificate Program from a community college or university or equivalent
  • Completed or working towards CHRP is an asset
  • Experience
  • Minimum 13 years working experience in Human Resources, experience with HRIS software preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills/Contacts
  • Ability to identify and respond to basic needs or requests. Tact and diplomacy required to deal with minor conflicts or complaints.
  • Problem Solving, Judgement and Decision Making
  • Dealing with somewhat less routine issues.
  • Weighing alternative approaches within guidelines and precedents.
  • Responsibility

  • Modifies data, ensures accuracy and prepares reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tracking the recruitment and selection of union and nonunion positions. This includes creating job postings, screening resumes, sending, and reviewing screening interviews, reference checks, and creating offers of employment.
  • Facilitate the training and onboarding of new employees, tracking mandatory new hire documentation and elearning completion.
  • Update elearning platforms (H & S 24/7) and run reports.
  • Provide administrative support of the health & safety program, including receiving incident forms, processing Form 7's and submitting them to WSIB. Participate in RTW process when needed.
  • Participate in the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
  • Enter new hire information and run reports as needed.
  • Answer inquiries from employees and management
  • Plan and present New Staff Orientation days.
  • Process biweekly payroll and assist with other payroll duties as needed.
  • Assist with the benefit process as needed.
  • Other
