NOTE:
This position is limited to NAIT internal staff only.


As the Coordinator of IT Academic Support, you will lead a team that provides IT technical support within labs and classrooms to support the delivery of NAIT's academic curriculum.

With a blend of technical expertise and effective leadership, you will contribute to strategy development, maintain IT technologies, and foster productive stakeholder communication, all while promoting staff development and technical proficiency in a dynamic educational setting.

This position reports directly to the Manager of IT Service Delivery within the Department of Information and Technology Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of the workunit, including such activities as; the development of work plans and resource planning (i.e. absence, vacation)
  • The management and tracking of operating budgets
  • Maintaining computing technology and audio visual equipment within NAIT labs and classrooms
  • Assignment and monitoring of tickets within our service management system
  • Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders is required at various levels of the organization
  • Key resource for the development of process, procedures, and strategy concerning enduser computing devices and services related to NAIT academic support with a focus on labs and classrooms
  • Supporting academic curriculum delivery with technical services

  • Ability to present technical information to groups of users
  • Experience administering Windows and Apple computer environments
  • Familiarity with audio visual setup and maintenance

Qualifications:

  • Information technology related Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (with related experience)
  • Several years of experience in an Information technology field (5+ years)
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
  • Some leadership training would be an asset

Remuneration:
$3, $4,402.08 biweekly, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
