Position Overview


This position reports to the Principal Investigator and will be responsible for data quantification and analysis, cleaning and maintenance of lab space, assisting students with ongoing research activities.


Position Description

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

  • Quantify circadian parameters using Clocklab software, including phase shifts, freerunning period, activity profiles
  • Analyze quantitative date using SigmaPlot by providing statistical output provided and publicationready graphs to supervisor
  • Quantify histology for cell counts, ROD, histological placement of brain implant
  • Assist with lab activities (making buffers, cleaning glassware)

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, biology, or neuroscience
  • Must demonstrate expertise with Clocklab software
  • Must demonstrate experience with brightfield and epifluorescence microscopy including ImagePro Plus software
  • Experience with histology techniques would be an asset
  • An active IAUTP certificate (or eligibility to obtain) would be an asset
