Position: Supervisor – Mechanical
We have a deep connection to Canada's forest lands and sustainability. Greenfirst is looking for a Supervisor Mechanical to provide planning and direction to the Kapuskasing Newsmill, optimizing the process in providing site and mechanical maintenance services in the most cost-effective manner to support the manufacture of pulp and newsmill and maintain alignment of the Site Services group with the principles and objectives defined on the Results Management Framework.
Lead a motivated, efficient, and engaged mechanical maintenance team of direct reports and provide career development opportunities.

• Coach and mentor employees to ensure maximum performance.

• Report to Mechanical Superintendent.

• Support and maintain an effective predictive and preventative mechanical maintenance program.

• Plan and record maintenance activities by using the site maintenance management system.

• Report on the status of mechanical work at the weekly priority meeting.

• Provide training recommendations to the Mechanical Superintendent.

• Maintain and effectively keep all mechanical equipment in a safe operating condition.

• Recommend changes/improvements to the maintenance management system and standards to the Mechanical Superintendent.

• Perform weekend duty as required.
Mechanical Engineering an asset.

• Experience: 7 years in a related field or 3 years with a Mechanical Engineering Degree is preferred.

• Bilingual: An asset

Greenfirst est à la recherche d'un(e) superviseur(e) mécanique pour assurer la planification et la direction de l'opération de papeterie de Kapuskasing, en optimisant le processus de fourniture de services d'entretien mécanique et de site de la manière la plus rentable possible pour soutenir la fabrication de pâte à papier et de papeterie et maintenir l'alignement du groupe des services de site avec les principes et les objectifs définis dans le cadre de gestion des résultats.
Diriger une équipe de maintenance mécanique motivée, efficace et engagée composée de subordonnés directs et offrir des opportunités de développement de carrière.

• Encadrer et entrainer les employés pour assurer une performance maximale.

• Rapport au surintendant mécanique.

• Soutenir et maintenir un programme d'entretien mécanique prédictif et préventif efficace.

• Planifier et enregistrer les activités de maintenance en utilisant le système de gestion de la maintenance du site.

• Surveiller les inventaires de pièces de rechange et tenir à jour les dossiers des équipements.

• Faire rapport sur l'état des travaux mécaniques lors de la réunion prioritaire hebdomadaire.

• Fournir des recommandations de formation au surintendant mécanique.

• Entretenir et maintenir efficacement tous les équipements mécaniques dans un état de fonctionnement sécuritaire.

• Recommander des changements/améliorations à la maintenance du système de gestion et des normes au surintendant mécanique.

• Effectuer des tâches de fin de semaine au besoin.
Scolarité : Diplôme d'études collégiales ou équivalent ; Génie mécanique un atout.

• Expérience : 7 ans dans un domaine connexe ou 3 ans avec un diplôme en génie mécanique est préférable.

• Bilingue : un atout
