THE ROLE

We are actively looking for an Intern Analyst, TFMT, to join our team for a 4-month (May 2023-August 2023) internship.

This role will be part of a growing and dynamic Treasury and Total Fund Management team, reporting into the Senior Director, Total Fund Management.

The incumbent will be responsible for helping on a variety of projects, including setting up derivative capabilities and building tools to help analyze FX risk, daily cash and liquidity needs, as well as analyzing the exposure to asset classes.

You will be working closely with other internal group projects, such as with the Investments team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an undergraduate student to gain valuable work experience in a fast-growing, dynamic environment while being a part of a new pension plan.

This role is hybrid and based in downtown Toronto with Work-From-Home flexibility (~2 days in office).

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Due diligence on investment risks within the fund, with a focus on currency, fixed income, and equity exposures
  • Improving and building tools to assist with daily and monthly processes
  • Analyzing and assessing risk data and analytics

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Recent graduate or currently pursuing a Masters degree, in Business, Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Excel VBA programming, Python and SQL
  • Possesses basic knowledge of and a keen interest in finance
