Job Opportunity: AVP, Liability National Accounts Underwriter at Zurich Canada

Zurich Canada is currently seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP), Liability National Accounts Underwriter to join their team. Reporting to the Vice President (VP) of National Accounts, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships and solving challenges to deliver a positive impact on customers, communities, and colleagues.


As the AVP, you will act as a customer advocate, focusing on enhancing customer experience by understanding their specific risks and providing tailored end-to-end insurance solutions. Your responsibilities will involve managing a portfolio of National Accounts Casualty products, overseeing renewals, and driving new business growth.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers from various industries to support National Accounts Casualty objectives.
  • Utilize your expertise in Casualty underwriting for risk assessment, exposure evaluation, and pricing to build and sustain a profitable book of business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with units such as claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and technical underwriting to acquire comprehensive industry knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Claims, Underwriting, or Market Facing roles.
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and at least 5 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing positions.
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree and a minimum of 12 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support roles.
