Reporting into our CRO, the VP of Marketing will have the chance to define and hone the marketing process as well as lead the branding, content, digital and product marketing teams to align our lead/nurture activities with the revenue and customer acquisition targets of the business.

The ideal team member will operate across the management team with autonomy and responsibility.

You will be the first Senior Marketing Leader in seat and be excited to take your knowledge of Marketing best practices in a scale up to execute and define processes that will help the company scale.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with the CRO to formulate a clear, coherent marketing strategy and drive it forward, getting buyin from Leadership and stakeholders across all internal teams
  • Carry forward our plan for both demand generation and nurturing our preexisting pipeline
  • Leadership — you'll be managing both other managers and individual contributors. You'll spearhead hiring as the team scales; provide direction and coaching on a daily basis; partner with each team member to identify and curate development opportunities to accelerate their personal and career growth
  • Develop a deep understanding of the buying audience. Be the SME and the evangelist of customer insights. Drive a customercentric approach in everything we do from building marketing strategy to positioning, content, sales enablement and campaigns
  • Oversee and provide direction for market segmentation, propensity analysis, build buyer journeys, persona profiles, understand and communicate competitive landscape and our market opportunity and our ICP (ideal customer profile)
  • Establish a culture of testing and optimization to prove new marketing channels, manage data and reporting via our marketing automation platform (we use Hubspot) and other tools
  • Build integrated acquisition, crosssell and retention campaigns, and nurture streams to drive growth
  • Develop market positioning, messaging templates, build relevant content for buyer roles in a variety of formats, including white papers, brochures, social media, Web pages, online events, etc.
  • Design sales enablement content, including customer presentations, competitive battle cards, ROI tools, playbooks, call scripts, training modules, demos, etc.

Requirements:

  • 35 years in startup/tech environment (ideally with a few years in B2G SaaS) and 10+ years overall in marketing
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills with experience building and managing highperforming teams from the ground up; focused on accountability and resultsoriented team building
  • Proven ability to develop revenuegenerating demand generation strategies and execute effectively on your plan
  • Highly analytical, quantitative and resultsoriented; strong understanding of the processes and challenges of a software company
  • We use Hubspot; looking for proven experience managing a marketing automation platform like Hubspot, Marketo or Pardot
  • At least some experience with or exposure to event management and tracking results from trade shows and meetups (especially virtual)
  • Strong desire to cultivate and produce results as a team; highly motivated towards providing coaching and guidance to produce the best team results
  • You lead with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
  • Customer obsessed with a high level of EQ for anticipating user demands and translating this into actionable items
