Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Motivate the team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff.
  • Create business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee appointment changes in bookings and ensure accurate grooming pricing assessments.
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and instore displays.
  • Undertake store administration duties such as managing store budgets and reporting.
  • Monitor inventory levels and create reports for the buyer.
  • Welcome and greet customers as they enter the store.
  • Offer help and provide direct assistance to customers.
  • Provide indepth product knowledge, including features, benefits, and overall value.
  • Answer customer questions and concerns
  • Attend to unique and individual shopping needs of each customer.
  • Crosssell and encourage beneficial product addons.
  • Upsell when appropriate; promote current sales, promotions, coupon deals, etc.
  • Process purchases, returns, and exchanges.
  • Handle customer complaints in a calm and professional manner.
  • Report anything unusual or any major incidents to management.
  • Help organize back stock and perform inventory counts.
  • Process newly received shipments.
  • Organize and replenish front stock and help merchandise store.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work and retail space.
  • Be enthusiastic and informative about all products.
  • Help create a positive environment for customers to shop and buy.
  • Take direction from and report to assigned manager.
  • Work as a team to achieve sales goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a supervisory role and/or in the pet industry.
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
  • Customer serviceoriented with indepth knowledge of basic business management processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate; familiarity using POS and appointment booking systems.
  • Extremely personable, positive, and approachable.
  • Fantastic customer service skills.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time; can lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
