CMLS Financial is looking to hire a Regional Business Development Manager to expand our Aveo non-prime sales team Where mainstream lenders stop, CMLS digs deeper to unearth a life story that can be just as creditworthy.

We are looking to build a team of experienced, motivated self-starters who possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a keen desire to be part of building CMLS Financial's Aveo non-prime product offering.

The Regional Business Development Manager in the Province of ON will be responsible for originating residential mortgages through the mortgage broker channel.

As a result of the successful launch of our Residential Division in 2013, you will be joining an existing team of high-performance Business Development Managers with full support from our experienced Risk team including underwriters and funders and our own In-house Mortgage Servicing group.


About the Role:

  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial mortgage referral relationships with selected mortgage brokers in your region;
  • Provide unparalleled knowledge and sales support in the nonprime mortgage space, product and underwriting training to all of your business partners;
  • Take ownership of your territory's volume objectives and make it happen while maintaining both deal quality and underwriting efficiency standards; and
  • Liaise with your colleagues in underwriting in resolving issues with business partners.

This role is for you if you have:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage brokerage community in your region preferred (ON);
  • Strong background in near prime/sub prime residential mortgage credit
  • A master in sales, relationship management and development with a proven track record of success;
  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral; and
  • Have strong problem solving and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple demands under tight lines.
  • Want to earn above average income by leveraging the aforementioned attributes.
  • Bachelor degree in business, finance, or marketing
  • Hold either a Mortgage broker license or Mortgage agent license is an asset
  • Residential underwriting experience also considered an asset
