About our team

The Labour Management team maintains the Labour program for over 1000 stores across our business from coast to coast. We partner and work closely with the Operations, HR, Labour Relations, Finance and Payroll teams to ensure we stay current with store operations and key compliance metrics. As Collective Bargaining Agreements evolve, and we bring new innovation to our systems and processes our team brings it all to life in stores.

About the role

The Sr. Manager of Workforce Management plays a critical role in managing our Time and Attendance system for our network of Grocery stores across the country. This is a rewarding role supporting one of Canada's largest employers with ensuring compliant scheduling and payroll. You will have a unique opportunity to influence and drive change that positively impacts our colleagues. We are looking for an energic individual to join our team and provide thought leadership to the business while developing extensive knowledge of their portfolio.

What you'll do

The successful individual will be accountable for the following core responsibilities:

  • Own the maintenance of all functional aspects in our Workforce Management System (Persona/Blue Yonder) including store set up, profiles, and configurations for our collective agreements
  • Partner and collaborate with all stakeholders throughout the organization including the vendor to ensure system stability
  • Deliver continuous improvement projects with vendors and internal partners that focus on processes and system upgrades to advance store operations and our colleague experience.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing to ensure all changes are seamless at store
  • Support stores and stakeholders with resolving issues and troubleshooting for quick resolution.
  • Work with colleague records and data to pull together reporting and data analysis.
  • Responsible for the governance of all Loblaw compliance policies and working with confidential data

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with a Workforce Management Software (WFM)
  • Retail store operations experience - with a strong focus on labour scheduling practices and time & attendance processing
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality of work while maintaining our internal systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with many stakeholders across the business
  • Ability to take on assignments with tight deadlines, manage through ambiguity, and be adaptable at prioritizing work
  • Highly developed organization, planning and time management skills
  • Strong personal responsibility, honesty, and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve through ambiguity
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn
  • Bilingual is an asset
