Terrestrial Energy is developing for near-term commercial operation, a zero-emissions cogeneration plant for global industry using its proprietary Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR) fission technology in an innovative, small and modular plant design.

The IMSR is a non-Light Water Reactor of the Generation IV class that operates at the high temperature required for broad industrial relevance with transformative economic potential.

The IMSR plant is capable of grid-based electric power generation and industrial cogeneration in many energy-intensive industries, including petrochemical and chemical synthesis for hydrogen and ammonia production.

The IMSR plant offers a near 50 percent improvement in efficiency of electric power generation compared to Light Water Reactor nuclear plants.

Its industrial cogeneration capability delivers to today's markets industrial competitiveness, security of energy, and zero-emissions industrial production.

The IMSR plant's use of existing industrial materials, components, and fuels supports its near-term deployment, setting the stage for a rapid global decarbonization of the primary energy system.

To execute this plan, we are now looking to add talented people to the team, each of whom will:

The Supply Chain Intern, under the direction of VP Nuclear Supply Chain, is primarily responsible for supporting procurement of services and materials for specified spend categories required by various TEI departments

Other responsibilities include:

  • Support Purchase Requestions in coordination with other departments
  • Support procurement documentation including but not limited to PO's and RFx (RFP's, RFI's, RFQ's, etc)
  • Support P2P (Procure To Pay) process
  • Support prequalification of suppliers and service providers in collaboration with QA
  • Support supplier negotiations on leadtime, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for TEI
  • Support performance reviews of suppliers against TEI procurement requirements for cost, delivery performance, quality and services
  • Support commercial, legal, regulatory, contractual compliances in all procurement transactions.
  • Support compliance with TEI policies and procedures
  • Supporting license and contract expiration tracking, vendor renewals
  • Supporting Finance budgets/forecasts
  • Support other Supply Chain projects as required

Requirements:

  • Registered Undergraduate Student returning to school after the internship in a related field (BCom, BA, etc.)
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Ability to selfmotivate
