Description

Reporting to the Corporate Services Director, we are in search of a talented Co-op student specializing in social media and marketing to enhance our online presence. Your primary responsibility will involve implementing online marketing strategies across various social media platforms. If you are a tech-savvy individual interested in engaging with the community and clients through digital channels, we want to hear from you.

As a Social Media Coordinator, you will be tasked with creating original content, devising innovative methods to attract more clients and staff, and bolstering our brand exposure. Your goal is to boost website traffic and enhance customer engagement metrics in line with our broader marketing objectives.

The ideal candidate should align with our values and mission as an organization, possess a comprehensive understanding of social media and marketing, and handle general administrative duties proficiently. The ability to work independently, ensuring smooth operation of social media projects and activities, is crucial. Proficiency in software applications such as Microsoft Office, Canva, and various social media tools is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on audience preferences and trends
  • Create compelling text, image, and video content
  • Develop posts to sustain interest and generate buzz around new products or initiatives
  • Analyze web traffic and track SEO performance
  • Keep abreast of social platform changes for optimized results
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on effective social media usage
  • Engage in online conversations with clients and promptly address inquiries
  • Monitor online reviews and customer feedback
  • Establish an effective posting schedule based on web traffic and engagement metrics
  • Manage the layout of social media accounts
  • Propose innovative strategies to attract potential customers through promotions and contests
  • Conduct orientations, onboarding, and maintain updated records of new hires
  • Lead and participate in staff appreciation initiatives
  • Expand social media presence to drive HR opportunities
  • Support other assigned tasks as required

Requirements and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a Social Media Coordinator
  • Proficiency in multiple social media platforms
  • Familiarity with SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics
  • Capability to generate creative content in various formats
  • Understanding of online marketing strategies and channels
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to future digital trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong multitasking and analytical proficiencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, New Media, or related field
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Interest in personal and professional development

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a University Co-op Program focusing on marketing, new media, or management
