NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Services Ltd. has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time permanent
Health, Environment and Safety Professional located
in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The HS&E Advisor is an integral member of the project team and responsible for the delivery of Safety Services to NCSG and its affiliates in the Northern Oil Sands Region. The HS&E Advisor will report to the VP of Risk Management but will be required to work closely with the operations management teams.

Duties:

  • Support, implement and lead safety programs, policies, practices and standards relative to Branch & Client needs and industry best practices with applicable HS&E Advisors.
  • Execution and implementation of the NCSG safety management system.
  • Mentor and ensure quality control of safety inspections, audits and investigations relative to HS&E with applicable HS&E Advisors.
  • Support the development of client or project safety management plans and objectives relative to safety with applicable HS&E Advisors.
  • Coordinate incident investigation processes for all incidents
  • Coordinate initial WCB/Disability management with VP of Risk Management
  • Coach and coordinate training of HSE, Transportation & Quality processes, standards and procedures to all staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Certification

  • NCSO, CRSP, CSP or other recognized safety designation required; or in the process of attaining.
  • Training program and learning objective development experience preferred.
  • Degree, diploma or certificate in occupational safety preferred.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 35 years' experience in a Construction, Oilsands, Mining or Heavy Equipment industry
  • Understanding of crane functions, capabilities and standards would be an asset
  • Understanding of Transportation Compliance would be an asset.
