ABOUT THE ROLE: 

The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development, execution and reporting of email marketing initiatives in support of business objectives. This role works closely with Product Marketing Managers to plan and execute marketing segmentation, email building and deployment, as well as implementing automation for ongoing email programs. This role will leverage data to inform and guide email development and improvement, as well as actively support the Marketing team in raising the team's profile and being an avid brand champion.

In addition: 

  • Plan, develop and implement email marketing campaigns to target audiences in support of business objectives.
  • Create and implement marketing campaigns to enhance lead generation and customer engagement.
  • Create static and dynamic segments based on customer demographics and behaviours.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure marketing emails are consistently delivered within agreed upon timelines and objectives, and with proper controls and approvals.
  • Work collaboratively with other Marketing team members to ensure marketing output is always on brand and of the highest quality.
  • Work with team members to develop email marketing guidelines and best practices for high quality communications.
  • Adhere to identified approval process for all external-facing marketing communications.
  • Coordinate with freelancers and suppliers as required
  • Prepare reports for all marketing email initiatives, identifying actionable insights and recommendations to improve metrics in future. Includes reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Document email insights and recommendations for new email campaigns
  • Leverage A/B testing to improve email performance.
  • Stay up to date on marketing best practices and trends
  • Identify opportunities for email automation and optimize marketing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross functional CRM team to identify platform improvements and write user stories.

WHAT WE REQUIRE:

  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Great communication skills
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in business management, finance, or related field (university an asset)
  • Proficient in email marketing tools (Dynamics is an asset)
  • High attention to detail
