We are seeking a Procurement Administrator for a company in Hamilton. This opportunity is a 3 month contract with the opportunity to become permanent.

In this role, you will be communicating with vendors and suppliers, while supporting the procurement process administratively. The ideal candidate would have a balance of efficiency, accuracy and be eager to learn.

Advantages

Responsibilities
-Issue purchase orders (JDE/OnBase)
-Coordinate logistics of storing going onboard the vessels and ensure a timely delivery.
-Coordinate any returned good or parts and arrange suitable replacements.
-Work and monitor closely with the Operation Specialist regarding repairs to be done on the vessels.
-Setup and implementation for filing system.
-Track and report all purchasing discrepancies.
-Review all requisitions from the vessels.
-Send quotations request to vendors/suppliers for parts required.
-Review invoices received weekly.
-Assist with new build for PMS, SMS, Sinex, CD live.
-Update ship certificates in office binders, Sinex and shared drive.
-Other administrative tasks as required

Qualifications
- Experience with MS Office and intermediate Excel skills
- Experience with ERP and data entry
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- 1-2 years experience in a coordinator role (Marine logistics is an asset)
- Detail oriented
- Motivated and eager to learn
