Responsabilités 

  • Participer à la supervision de la préparation et de la livraison de rapports dâévaluation aux clients internes et externes ou à leurs agents en temps opportun.
  • Sâassurer que les procédures sont en place, à jour et respectées en ce qui a trait à lâexamen et à lâapprobation des valeurs du marché du portefeuille. Proposer des changements aux procédures à la direction en mettant lâaccent sur la réduction des risques, les intrants manuels et lâaugmentation de lâefficacité.
  • Assurer la réception quotidienne de tous les flux de tarification, des soumissions des courtiers, des sources de tarification de secours et dâautres données pertinentes. Identifier, rechercher et résoudre les prix en éliminant les niveaux de tolérance établis.
  • Avoir un esprit dâéquipe. Travailler avec les pairs et atteindre les objectifs du groupe, du client et de lâunité.
  • Examiner et approuver les ensembles de groupe quotidiens en mettant lâaccent sur lâexactitude, les détails, la piste de vérification et la rapidité.
  • Identifier, communiquer et résoudre les situations de juste valeur. Transmettre les problèmes au gestionnaire ou aux clients au besoin.
  • Soutenir les tâches de tarification mondiales dans un environnement opérationnel continu.
  • Sâassurer que le groupe est adéquatement formé. Encadrer, mentorer et motiver le personnel.
  • Ãlargir et améliorer continuellement les connaissances sur les instruments financiers, les actions des sociétés et les meilleures pratiques en matière dâévaluation.
  • Démontrer une connaissance approfondie des divers groupes de fonds, des exigences des clients et dâautres anomalies liées au marché.
  • Maintenir la documentation et les sauvegardes appropriées aux fins de vérification.
  • Participer et contribuer aux initiatives de projet de lâunité.
  • Offrir un service à la clientèle exceptionnel aux clients internes et externes.

Exigences 

  • Titre de diplôme collégial ou universitaire, de préférence avec une concentration en finances ou expérience de travail équivalente.
  • Au moins 1 an dâexpérience en tarification des titres, en comptabilité de fonds ou en gestion de garde ou en administration de titres.
  • Connaissance des marchés financiers et des titres complexes.
  • Démontrer la capacité dâanalyser un problème, dâobtenir et dâévaluer lâinformation et de tirer des conclusions solides.
  • Capacité de travailler en équipe.
  • Excellente connaissance des logiciels Word, Excel et des bases de données PC.

Associate 2  Sec Val Montreal

Securities Valuation is a centralized unit supporting several business units and is broken out into two distinct areas; Fund Level Pricing and Asset Pricing. The Associate 2, Securities Valuation is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely execution of daily market valuations for various clients in accordance with each clientsâ Price Source Authorization (âPSAâ) agreement, standing instructions, and market best practices.

What you will be responsible for

As Associate 2, Securities Valuation you will:

      

  • Assist in the oversight of preparation and delivery of valuation reports to internal and external clients and/or their agents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that procedures are in place, up to date, and adhered to regarding the review and approval of portfolio market values. Propose changes to procedures to management with a focus of reducing risk, manual inputs, and increasing efficiencies.
  • Ensure the receipt of all pricing feeds, broker quotes, back-up pricing sources and other relevant data on a daily basis. Identify, research, and resolve prices breaking set tolerance levels.
  • Function as a âteam-playerâ. Work with peers and achieve group/client/unit goals.
  • Review and sign-off on daily group packages with a focus on accuracy, detail, audit trail, and timeliness.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve fair value situations. Escalate issues to manager and/or clients as required.
  • Support global pricing tasks in a continuous operations environment.
  • Ensure that the group is adequately trained and cross-trained. Coach, mentor, and motivate staff.
  • Continuously expand and improve knowledge of financial instruments, corporate actions, and best valuation practices.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the various fund groups, client requirements and other market related anomalies.
  • Maintain proper documentation and back-up for audit purposes.
  • Participate in and contribute to unit project initiatives.
  • Provide outstanding client service to both internal and external clients.

Requirements

  • College or university designation preferably with a concentration in finance or accounting.
  • 1+ years experience in securities pricing, fund accounting, or custody operations / securities administration.
  • Knowledge of capital markets and complex securities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to analyze a problem, obtain and evaluate information and reach sound conclusions.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work as a team player.
  • Excellent computer knowledge of Word, Excel, and PC databases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid administration, organizational and time management skills.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and/or Derivatives Fundamentals Course is an asset.
  • English is a must to cover international clientst.
