Overview

At KPMG in Canada, you'll be part of a dynamic team of professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional services to clients. We're currently seeking a highly skilled Manager, Valuations and Financial Modelling to support our growing financial modelling practice and business valuation group.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Developing and reviewing complex financial models to support strategic business planning, mergers & acquisitions, investment decisions, capital allocation decisions, debt analysis, and tax planning
  2. Identifying issues and proposing strategies to clients' management related to business planning and forecasting
  3. Conducting market and industry research, detailed financial analysis on historical results as well as on financial projections of targeted companies
  4. Participating in discussions and team meetings with targeted organizations' management team
  5. Researching and analyzing organizations comparable to the targeted company and to its industry in order to determine risks associated to monetary flow of the targeted company
  6. Compiling data on similar companies and conducting benchmarking analysis
  7. Developing relationships with current and prospective clients

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in commerce with a major either in finance or accounting
  2. 3 to 5 years of related work experience
  3. A Master in finance (or an MBA is considered an asset)
  4. A CFA title (completed or in progress) and/or a CBV title (completed or in progress) will be considered major assets
  5. Strong modelling skills with an excellent knowledge of Excel
  6. Prior working experience in a financial modelling role is an asset (investment banking, corporate development, equity research, corporate FP&A, consulting)
  7. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  8. Experience in one or more of the following is an asset: Tableau, PowerBi, MS Access, SQL, VBA, Python
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French
