The Opportunity:

Barminco Mining Services Canada Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Projects, Data, Commercial Mining Engineer tojoin our team at the Hemlo Operations near Marathon, Ontario.

Rotation is 14-shifts on / 14-shifts off. (FIFO/DIDO)

Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Mining Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the relevant Site contract(s) in accordance with Barminco's business goals, policies and procedures and assist in preparing tenders for new contracts.

More specifically, our Projects Engineer will:
Ensure compliance with monthly project schedules, contractual obligations, and company terms of business Ensure that Barminco's Contracts policies and procedures are being adhered to and ensuring that its contractual risks are being addressed and all material risks / issues are communicated to the relevant Project Manager Manage monthly claims invoices, variations to the contracts, and contract close out. Comply with outlined schedule of rates determined in contract Support and advise operational teams in working to contract requirements that optimises value to client and Barminco Assist in the development of scopes of work, contract terms and related documents Maintenance of contract data in relevant information management system(s) Maintain, report, and monitor production and performance data to ensure the client's and company's goals are achieved Chair daily production review meeting Provide commercial responses to client technical services team to assist in planning and scheduling process. Compile and review weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and performance reviews Keep aware of site P&L performance, identifying and championing continuous improvement projects to drive positive EBIT performance Creation and maintenance of various ad hoc reports and presentations Coach and mentor new project engineers, developing talent and supporting progression planning. Assist in administrative processes at site

Skills and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science in Mine Engineering 3-5 years mine engineering experience Be technically competent and have a good understanding of key business drivers in gold mining Strong Microsoft Excel Skills an asset Strong organizational, planning and time management skills Strong communications skills, verbal and written, and must be computer/systems literate Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
