Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for a Bilingual Operations Officer for a 6 month contract in Montréal. This is onsite role. There is a high possibility of contract extension and conversion to full time opportunity.
Pay rate: $35.50/ Hour
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-4 and or 9-5pm
Overtime is required on weekends.

Responsibilities
As a Bilingual Operations Officer, your duties will include but not limited to:
â¢Reviewing commercial security files
â¢Ordering security files/ binders from file room.
â¢Reviewing securities, comparing, and reconciling
â¢Providing a broad range of operational support
â¢Performing general to specialized transactions and/ or other processing activities for own Operations and Business Services function.
â¢Executing transactions accurately, on time and in line with established guidelines/ procedures
â¢Referring to escalating processing or operational issues as needed
â¢Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery
â¢Supporting partners with incoming transactions, validating information as needed to perform adjustments with authority levels
â¢Interacting with partners by responding to requests in an effective and timely manner
â¢Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity
â¢Understanding internal and industry regulations and trends
â¢Supporting the timely and accurate completion of business processes
â¢Reviewing actively internal processes/ activities and provide ideas for process improvement
â¢Adhering to enterprise frameworks and methodologies that relate to operations activities for own area
â¢Being knowledgeable of and comply with Bank Code of Conduct

Qualifications
â¢FULLY BILINGUAL â English and French: Read, write, speak (reading complex documents)
â¢Knowledge of security trading
â¢Critical thinking skills â mitigate risk for the bank
â¢STRONG attention to details
â¢Strong communication skills â customer focus, taking ownership
â¢Excel â staying organized, navigating complex trackers - 1year
â¢Flexible in work hours â Could work OT or weekends as needed, stay later during peak work
â¢Meeting deadlines- SLAs
â¢Sound knowledge of MS Office, proficiency in MS Excel is a must
â¢Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle high volumes of work.
â¢Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
â¢Excellent organizational and time management skills.
â¢Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
â¢Self-motivated and goal oriented.
â¢Ability to adapt to changing policies and procedures.
â¢Understanding of MM and FX products
â¢Ability to learn and apply skills to new software programs.

Nice to have:
â¢STRONG asset to have â commercial loans experience
â¢Banking experience â small business banking loans officer, credit officer, operations officer
â¢Knowledge of Global and WWS platforms would be an asset
â¢Preferred - experience in a Trade Processing related role, preferably experience with cash products (such as loan, deposits, swaps and forwards)
