Responsibilities
⢠Monitor and analyze logs, alerts, and events generated by Palo Alto Networks firewalls, next-generation firewalls (NGFWs), and related security tools
⢠Perform routine configuration changes, updates, and patches on Palo Alto Networks devices, following established change management processes
⢠Assist in the implementation and deployment of new Palo Alto Networks security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and advanced threat prevention features
⢠Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Palo Alto Networks security devices, such as connectivity problems, policy conflicts, and performance degradation
⢠Collaborate with the Network Security, Network Designers and Network Operations teams to remediate incidents and work through requests related to firewall rules
⢠Maintain comprehensive documentation on the configuration and operation of the Palo Alto Networks security environment
⢠Participate in regular security reviews, audits, and compliance activities related to the Palo Alto Networks security controls
Qualifications
⢠Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
⢠1-3 years of experience in network security administration or a related role.
⢠Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks firewalls and NGFWs.
⢠Familiarity with security protocols, VPNs, and advanced threat prevention features.
⢠Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve network-related incidents in a timely manner.
