Name and description of the hiring department:

The Accounting Services team supports various accounting and finance functions leading towards successful financial close. 

Key Responsabilities:
  • Receive, analyze and validate information gathered from various invoices, source documents, journal entry requests, etc 
  • Basic support of financial close activities such as keying transaction through journal entries, rolling forward files, preparing summaries etc. 
  • Verify and ensure accuracy and completeness of information in the system (e.g. data validation) 
  • Communicate potential issues in order to initiate corrective actions based on criteria
  • Analyze discrepancies and contact internal departments and /or external parties to resolve problems
  • Provide support and guidance to external vendors and internal Bell colleagues through frequent verbal and written communication
  • Produce reports on requests submitted by external auditors, employees or managers
  • Carry out various requests or any other tasks related to position
Essential Compentencies / Qualifications:
  • Basic Accounting knowledge 
  • Marked data-processing Aptitudes
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel software                                 
  • Analytical spirit and attention to detail
  • Autonomy, initiative, creativity and capacity to work within restricted timeline
  • Aptitude to effectively communicate information by telephone or writing
  • Communication and significant interpersonal relations
  • Bilingualism, maintaining professional relationships with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada is critical to this position
  • Knowledge of SAP
Working Conditions:
  • 37.5 hours/week. Possibility of work hours between 8 am and 5 pm
