About the role

Weâre looking for a Financial Analyst II to join our growing team

What youâll do here:

  • Contribute to the analysis of the companyâs financial performance.
  • Understand insurance results and be able to model them for forecasting purposes.
  • Initiate and contribute to measures aimed at improving current processes associated with data sharing, budget review, performance analysis and management reporting.
  • Upload data into our financial systems and perform various checks.
  • Support the manager in various projects: replacement of the claims database, new industry dashboard and period-end results.
  • Monitor and verify data integrity and completeness in internal systems processing.
  • Participate in and take responsibility for special projects or mandates. 

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelorâs degree in finance, accounting, actuarial sciences, business analytics, mathematics or any quantitative field.
  • Professional designation or a masterâs degree, an asset.
  • One to five years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Excel and motivation to learn Power Query, Power BI, VBA Excel and the relational database.
  • Experience in data extraction, manipulation and synthesis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Customer-focused approach.
  • Solid time-management and work-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to interact with various people at all levels of the organization, including management and external partners.
  • Bilingualism (French-English) â You will interact regularly with colleagues from across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience is required; however, you must be eligible to work in Canada.
