The Opportunity

PMco is hiring the next member of their Marketing Team. This position is a full-time hybrid opportunity and is available immediately. In this position you'll get the opportunity to incorporate your Marketing skills to plan, organize, and execute Marketing strategies and deliver fun-filled events at The Hub Shopping Centre in Truro, NS. This role requires a blend of skills including time management, event management, and strong communication skills to engage target audiences to achieve marketing and event success.

Is this you?

Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related discipline with 2 -3 years working experience.

Experience developing and delivering events from concept to execution to generate a positive event experience.

Committed to excellence, quality, attention to detail and problem solving.

Demonstrates experience writing/editing marketing materials, social media, presentations and communications.

Flexible, takes initiative, values cooperation, and excels in building positive relationships, with a strong commitment to teamwork and accountability.

Organized, collaborative, and has the ability to thrive and prioritize tasks.

Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.

Experience creating graphics using Canva and website maintenance using WordPress.

Proficient in Social Media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Job Duties and Accountabilities: In addition to following PMco's policies and procedures, job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as primary event planner for fun-filled events at The Hub Shopping Centre.
  • Develop event-related marketing materials including signage and social media graphics.
  • Manage event budgets, contracts, and timelines ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Analyze event performance metrics and provide recommendations for future improvements and optimizations.
  • Provide support to colleagues on the marketing team as needed.
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing strategies of marketing campaigns to promote events effectively.
  • Photograph and video all events at The Hub Shopping Centre for social media content.
  • Maintain and update The Hub website in WordPress.
  • When necessary, be flexible and work or travel at varied hours including weekends and/or evenings.
  • Create annual budgets and forecasts for event expenditure.
  • Prepare annual events calendar and process for executing all events.

Work Environment:

In this role you will work in various settings, including office, event venues, and sometimes remotely. The role may require travel for on-site event management and irregular hours including evenings and weekends during event activities.
