About the OpportunityThe Manager, Clinical Planning will work in collaboration with the QEII New Generation Project team to deliver on the redevelopment projects in the Central Zone of Nova Scotia Health.
This role will have responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Direct support to the Director, Clinical Equipment
- Lead various planning initiatives including clinical functional planning, equipment list development and other essential project activities in preparation for clinical redevelopment project support and delivery
- Knowledge translation of clinical equipment requirements between clinical users and various members of the project team, technical SMEs operational user groups, government partners, and consultants
- Validation of technical requirements
- Lead project planning and execution and project management for identified sub-projects within the larger QEII New Generation Project using formal PM tools and processes
- Integrate planning for technology, planning, biomedical engineering, facilities, and other streams within and without of the clinical equipment portfolio
- Lead/support related procurement processes (in collaboration with team members)
- Lead/participate as a member of project team(s) for various project components; responsible to obtain the appropriate clinical subject matter expert & senior leadership approvals at various stages
- Lead/support business case development and analysis of project options in conjunction with financial and/or data analyst
- Support budget stewardship in conjunction with the project team and government partners
- Support the planning and development of the next phases of the QEII New Generation Project Master Plan

Bachelor's degree in a health-related area required (education/experience equivalencies will be considered)

Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, considered an asset

Three (3) to Five (5) years' experience in health care planning, health care/hospital construction project work (including planning, implementation and operational readiness required

Exceptional facilitation and knowledge translation skills
-
Project management experience, with Project Management Professional certification as an asset
-
Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
-
Strong communication, planning, presentation and organizational skills
-
Certified Health Executive (CHE) designation an asset
- Experience in a leadership role in health care planning and project management
- Experience in hospital redevelopment/construction
- Experience leading a wide range of complex projects and stakeholder teams, committees, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills and consultation within a diverse range of stakeholder teams
- Proven record of success working with staff, physicians and patients/families
- Proven ability to apply quality management principles and processes
- Ability to apply risk assessment and management principles and processes
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other departments, consultants, and other stakeholders
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

$45.45 - $56.81 Hourly
