Randstad is excited to partner with a leading Design-Build Contractor in the GTA who are well established and have been consistently growing. Our client is looking for an experienced Estimator to work across Water and Sewer projects. Our client is a Medium sized contractor and there is a lot of opportunity internally for development and growth. This position will join an established, supportive team.

Responsibilities
âPreparing estimates and proposals for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work
â Determining the total cost of construction project materials, equipment, utilities, and
labour
â Seek estimates from vendors and subcontractors
â Generate estimates from fundamental principles
â Manage all stages of the tender process.
â Handle bid closings and proposal submissions
â Facilitate the transition of projects to field operation teams
â Maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
â Establish and nurture professional relationships with subcontractors, construction
personnel, supervisors, and the estimating team
â Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status

Qualifications
â Minimum of 4 years working as an Estimator within the Civil sector
â Experience in estimating principles and practices; planning, execution, pricing, and
vendor/subcontractor coordination
â Capable of deriving cost calculations for all tender aspects
â Well versed in estimating package software
âSpecific water and sewer estimation experience required
