About the Role: Manager, Property Accounting

This leadership role plays a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely financial management of the company's growing portfolio of luxury residential properties. You'll oversee a team of property accountants, collaborate with various departments, and contribute to the company's overall success.

Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of property accountants, fostering a collaborative work environment. Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for a designated portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards. Manage monthly accounting close procedures, review financial statements, and analyze variances in collaboration with property managers. Prepare and review year-end financial reports and supporting documentation. Contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely and successful audit completion. Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures. Handle property accounting-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. In-depth knowledge of property accounting principles and practices. Proven track record of managing a team, with strong leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with property accounting software (ideally Yardi). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
