About the Role: Manager, Property Accounting

This leadership role involves managing the monthly accounting and reporting cycle for various real estate properties. You'll supervise a team, collaborate with management, and contribute to a wide range of accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Supervise and guide a team of property accountants. Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial records for various stakeholders. Manage monthly accounting close procedures and the full cycle of accounts payable. Execute daily transactions, track budget variances, and coordinate budget reviews. Provide support for financial analysis across various departments. Handle cash flow management and compliance filings. Collaborate with external accountants and assist with loan financing. Prepare investor reports, financials, and distributions. Contribute to the development of annual budgets. Qualifications and Experiences Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property accounting, with demonstrated supervisory experience preferred. CPA, CA designation or actively enrolled in the CPA program (midway through or nearing completion) is strongly preferred. Bilingual fluency in French and English is a significant asset. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Yardi software is a plus. Adaptability to work outside of core hours as needed. Self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead a team. Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
