We are a Whitehorse Yukon based prefab construction company. We build residential projects ranging from custom and spec homes to multi-family town house developments. We have contracts around Yukon in many different communities.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design to implementation and completion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning and design to implementation and completion.
Develop project plans and schedules and manage project budgets.
Ensure that all construction work is completed to the required quality standards, and that all materials and equipment follow project specifications.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, and provide regular updates on project progress and issues.
Supervise and motivate project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and other workers on site.
Identify and mitigate risks and issues that could impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.
Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
Review and approve project designs and specifications and make recommendations for improvements.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality and address any issues that arise.
Manage change requests and scope creep and adjust project plans and budgets as needed.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance project management and delivery.
Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in construction management (Commercial/Residential) with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Strong project management skills, with experience developing and managing project plans, budgets, and schedules.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams and build relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment, as well as safety regulations and procedures.
Proficiency in project management software, such as MS Project or Primavera.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to adapt to change and problem-solve quickly and effectively.
