We are looking to fill the position of Employee Experience Assistant at Fernie Alpine Resort, reporting to the HR & Admin Manager. Everyday offers new, exciting challenges and opportunities. You are savvy, adaptable, and ready to work with people at all levels of the organization managing our employee experience program. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong written and oral communication skills, experience in an office environment and have an excellent knowledge of MSWord and Excel. You Will:
Prepare and promote the employee experience program, including creating posters on Canva. Plan and coordinate staff events, including orientation, Christmas, and end-of-season celebrations. Host various staff events, such as curling, and introduce any new events you envision. Produce the staff newsletter with assistance from the rest of the team. Maintain clear and effective communication with staff regarding event details and schedules. Organize and execute a wellness week for staff mid-winter. Assist with managing freight in and out of the resort. Collaborate with the Employee Relations Committee to support employee engagement and satisfaction. Handle email correspondence, both internal and external. Provide general Human Resources and Administrative support as needed. Ensure all events and activities adhere to the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies guidelines and policies. Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
You Have:
Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and hosting events. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills required, organized, independent worker with an eye for details. Ability to maintain confidentiality required. Previous experience in event planning or coordination is an asset. Previous experience in office environment required. Previous experience with Mailchimp & Canva programs an asset. Strong MS Word and Excel skills.
This is a part-time role (8 hrs per day) Monday-Wednesday and requires some flexibility to also host events in the evenings/on other days of the week.
