What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Group Sales Consultant, you will provide Group Benefits Insurance planning and advice. You will focus on new sales acquisition and retention as well as serving as the one-point of contact for Group Producers in Edmonton and northern Alberta. A key activity is identifying, growing, building as well as strengthening relationships with new and existing group producers.

What will you do?

  • Identify, build and strengthen relationships with Group Producers
  • Apply a continuous-improvement approach to achieving superior brokerage experience
  • Demonstrate commitment to take ownership of client/brokerage problems at first point of contact for assigned employee benefits advisors
  • Deliver a consistently superior client experience through the brokerage by focusing on insurance advice and promoting submission of high quality insurance applications
  • Represent RBCI within assigned territory to increase market awareness of RBCI Group Brokerage capability
  • Build profitable Group Brokerage relationships, achieving business growth goals, revenue plans and cost controls
  • Develop market intelligence to identify potential new Group Producers appointment opportunities within assigned territory
  • Deliver presentations to Group Producers on sales concepts, market and product updates

Hereâs what we need from you:

Must-have

  • University degree or equivalent preferred
  • Proven professional sales experience
  • +5 years of Group Insurance experience
  • Technical knowledge of Group Benefits product lines

Nice to Have

  • Life/Accident &Sickness Designation
  • CEBS GBA 1 and 2 preferred
