Under the supervision of the Director of Payroll and Benefits, US, we seek an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee semi-monthly payroll processing and related tax reporting. Applicants must understand federal/state tax laws, labor laws, benefits, leave of absence, and workerâs compensation. HRIS systems knowledge (Ceridian Dayforce, ADP) is beneficial. This role ensures accurate, timely payroll for 400+ US employees.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
â Payroll:
â Manage the day-to-day operations of the US payroll department, including coordinating
with other departments and affiliated agency entities.
â This position will take on payroll functions such as gathering/auditing payroll backup
(timesheets), auditing payroll transactions, assisting and researching payroll
issues/discrepancies, and participate in the organizationâs month-end, quarterly, and/or
year-end close.
â Ensure that all payroll-related data is accurate, complete, and current, and process all
payroll-related transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
â Basic understanding of accounting practices and termsâthis position will work closely
with the different entitiesâ finance departments.
â Assist with tracking and completing garnishment notices, unemployment claims, and
verification of employment forms.
â Manage current and implement new payroll policies, procedures, and systems to ensure
compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
â Work closely with finance, human resources, and legal.
â Ensure that payroll processes are aligned with the companyâs goals and policies.
â Stay current with changes in payroll laws, state and city regulations/ordinances, and best
practices, and implement any necessary changes to policies and procedures.
â Review and validate payroll tax deposits and filings each pay period and quarter.
â Prepare and present ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll-related reports and
analyses as needed.
â Troubleshoot and resolve payroll discrepancies/errors.
â Partake in annual Financial Audit
â Leadership and Management:
â Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
â Supervise future potential payroll staff.
â Work closely with the Payroll & Benefits Director to ensure consistency and accuracy of
system data.

Qualifications
â Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
â Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll administration
â Strong understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
â Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
â Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
â Proficient in HRIS/HCM and payroll software systems.
â Proficient in Ceridian/Dayforce and experience with ADP a plus.
â Demonstrated proficiency with Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
